The WNDC Educational Foundation (EF) is a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan public charity dedicated to the education of the public, especially women, concerning: (i) the history of women’s rights, (ii) the achievements and contributions of women in our society, (iii) outreach and civic education, and (iv) preservation of the Whittemore House Museum—a home for women’s political engagement in the nation’s capital for nearly a century.
The Foundation’s mission takes on special meaning as we recognize the centennial of the 19th Amendment and pay tribute to the many hundreds of thousands of women who fought and continue to struggle for the right to vote.
Please note that your gift to the WNDC Educational Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
As students work their way from July 2019 through December 2020, they will acquire knowledge of the complex struggle that led to the adoption of the 19th amendment and deepen their understanding of the crusade by way of introduction and exposure to leading suffragist trailblazers, including women from Sojourner Truth to Alice Paul.
