On April 27, 2021, WNDC Educational Foundation hosted a panel with Former Secretary of Labor Alexis Herman, Dr. Thelma Daley, and Anna Eleanor Fierst reflecting on civil rights activist and historical icon Dr. Dorothy Height. The conversation included excerpts from a speech by Dr. Height—sponsored by the Foundation on April 27, 2004—that still resonate today.
Noted historians discuss the long struggle to gain the vote for women and the political innovations, protests, and racism of the woman's suffrage movement.
